Privacy policy.

What we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.

TrialDay (“we,” “our”) operates the job simulation platform at trialday.app. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. By using TrialDay you agree to the practices described here.

01

Information we collect

  • Account information — When you sign up we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider (Clerk).
  • Simulation data — We store the messages, actions, and decisions you make during simulations so we can generate your scorecard and feedback report.
  • Usage data — We collect standard server logs (page views, feature usage, timestamps) to understand how the product is used and to fix bugs.
  • Payment information — Billing is handled by Stripe. We store only your subscription status and Stripe customer ID — we never see or store your raw card details.
02

How we use your information

  • To operate and improve TrialDay — generating your simulation scenarios, scoring your performance, and producing AI feedback reports.
  • To send transactional emails — receipts, password resets, and important product updates. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
  • To provide customer support — if you contact us at info@trialday.app, we use your information to respond.
  • To detect and prevent abuse — protecting the integrity of the platform and other users.
03

AI and third-party services

  • Simulation content and feedback reports are generated using the Anthropic Claude API. Your simulation activity (messages, actions taken, and scores) is sent to Anthropic to produce those outputs. Anthropic's API data is not used to train their models by default — see anthropic.com/privacy for details.
  • Authentication is provided by Clerk (clerk.com). Payments are processed by Stripe (stripe.com). Database hosting is provided by Supabase (supabase.com). Each provider has their own privacy policy governing data they receive.
04

Data sharing

  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • If you complete a company-issued simulation, the hiring company can see your score, grade breakdown, behavioral signals, and the AI-generated feedback report. They cannot see the raw content of your messages.
  • We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of TrialDay and its users.
05

Data retention

  • Your account and simulation history are retained for as long as your account is active.
  • If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records).
  • You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@trialday.app.
06

Cookies

  • We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (managed by Clerk) and to maintain session state.
  • We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
07

Children's privacy

  • TrialDay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it promptly.
08

Changes to this policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
